The HPHT technology
The HPHT method exposes stones to extremely high temperatures and high pressures. In fact, the conditions are similar to those in which the stones were formed millions of years ago. The treatment is irreversible, as it essentially upgrades the diamond’s colour. Depending on the original stone, the change in colour can be slight, or quite dramatic.
CVD Diamonds
As Lab-Grown Diamonds are becoming more and more popular, Solitaire Processing Tech has
undertaken colour enhancement of this category of diamonds as well. “The HPHT process is done on
CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) diamonds & Natural diamonds as well, which enhances the
colour of the diamond by at least one, and often more than one colour grade, but the purity remains
the same.
